Hilti Completes Acquisition of Oglaend System Group

With the demand for energy from oil, gas and wind forecast to grow further, owners and operators of offshore installations need to continuously invest into existing facilities to maintain current production levels and into new production capacity. While Hilti is a strong player in this industry sector, offering structural steel applications such as grating fasteners, Oglaend System is a leading supplier of both multidiscipline support systems as well as electrical and instrumentation solutions such as modular supports and cable trays and ladders.

Following approval by antitrust authorities, the Hilti Group has completed the acquisition of the Norwegian Oglaend System Group in August 2017.

Oglaend-System has operated an Australian sales office in Perth since 2017 with a primary focus on supporting key customers in the offshore oil and gas industry, where our stainless steel product range is highly regarded for its flexibility and durability in a harsh marine environment.

The acquisition by Hilti has extended our reach into other sectors such as the mining, shipbuilding, petrochemical, infrastructure and processing industries across Australia.

The Oglaend System range includes cable ladder, cable tray, multidiscipline support systems and a host of accessories in corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, a range of fibreglass reinforced plastics (FRP), ZM coated steel and HDG coated steel. This versatility allows us to tailor specific cost-effective solutions across a wide range of applications.
